The areas of Syed Nagar, Hakeempet, N.B Nagar, Zehra nagar, Singari kunta and Krishna nagar under Banjara Hills division are identified as crime prone areas where house breakings, Snatching, Vehicle theft are reported and where some un-social elements are residing.
On the intervening night of Friday and Saturday the West Zone Police, in order to apprehend the suspects and property offenders, made a proper plan with the support of local crime investigation teams and raided above areas (Syed Nagar, Hakeempet, N.B Nagar, Zehra nagar, Singari kunta and Krishna nagar), overing the entire area with 40 Police Teams. In this operation, 1 Additional DCP, 2 Assistant commissioner of police, 10 Inspectors, 40 Sub-Inspectors and 300 Constables were participated under the supervision of DCP West Zone V. Satyanarayana.
The search operation was conducted from 1:30 am onwards and concluded at 5 am on saturday. During the above cordon and search operation, made in the limits of Banjara Hills division total (5) suspects, (4) Rowdy Sheeters and 6 old chain snatchers, 10 ex-convicts and habitual offenders, land grabbers were brought to Police Station. Apart from this 3 Gambling dens were raided in the following localities, apprehended 25 persons indulging in playing cards and seized an amount of Rs. 1,63,000, & 8 cell phones etc., 11 persons at Room No. 206 of Vasantha Bhavan Guest House, Road No. 14, Banjara Hills. 6 persons at house in Road No. 13-A, Banjara Hills and 8 persons at Suresh Guest House of Film Nagar.
Further, 1 Belt shop was raided and seized 102 bottles caught one person padma at Uday nagar of Banjara Hills.
Apprehended following 3 persons on whom NBWs were pending, Syed Saleem involved in 379 IPC, Mateen (Snatcher) and Hasham (Rowdy Sheeter)
Apart from this 5 suspected vehicles were also brought to Police Station. A foreigner Adjahi Alda Dona, National of Beninoise was caught who came to India for Education purpose on student Visa. His Visa was expired on July 11, 2014. All together around 65 suspects were taken into custody and brought to Police Station. After enquires, appropriate action will be taken against them as per law.
