Hyderabad: Police harassment on the rise

Hyderabad: Harassment by Hyderabad police is unprecedented. Now they are putting a curb on talks at private places as well.

Photography is being done for people talking to each other at public places.

Such complaints have been received from several places in the twin cities.

Police on Thursday removed banners and posters after the inauguration of the office of Front against CAA, NRC and NPR.

On Friday police began taking photographs of a dining table in a function hall where some journalists and dignitaries were having dinner. After the objection is raised, police said that they received information that some meeting was going on in the function hall hence they reached there to take photographs.

Such moves by the police are creating mistrust among the people and if this continues people will soon lose faith in the police department.

Police also barged into a house and created havoc in the house of a social worker at Muradnagar on December 31 where a mushaira was being organised. Police tried to snatch away the mobile phones of the persons present there.
