Hyderabad police beef up security at Mecca Masjid

Hyderabad: During the holy month of Ramzan, Hyderabad police ensured safety and security of over one lakh visitors who pay a visit to a four-hundred-year-old Mecca Masjid to offer Namaz.

Speaking to ANI, Amber Kishore Jha, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said: “Scores of people visit the old city and Mecca Masjid during the time of Ramadan. Police have made adequate arrangements to divert the traffic. Special teams have also been deployed to ensure safety. The surrounding area of the mosque will be properly guarded. More than forty CCTV cameras have been installed.”

“This Ramadan all the arrangements have been made in the mosque. More than one lakh people will visit the mosque to offer Namaz every day,” Head of Mecca Masjid, Hafez Mohammed said.
