Hyderabad: An Australian man was cheated by two persons from Towlichowki through online dating.
According to the details, Mohsin Agha (29) and his accomplice Mohammed Hassani (31) were arrested by the police for cheating an Australian man with the help of a woman through online dating racket. The woman was directly in contact with Australian man introducing herself as a jeweler. She told him that Govt. owes $2.1 mn for which $95,000 have to be paid as tax. She requested the Australian man to arrange this money. He fell in trap and deposited the amount in her Axis bank account. She invited him to come to Hyderabad. When he reach Hyderabad, the scam was exposed.
Cyber Crime Branch of CID registered a case and arrested two Nigerian, Mohsin Agha and Mohammed Hassani. The woman is absconding. According to police report the woman had used a fake photograph for matrimonial alliance. Police seized laptop, mobile phone, pen drive and other articles from the accuse and Rs. 20 lakh from the bank account of Mohsin Agha.
