Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail will start its service on Hitec City to Rai Durgam route before Deepawali. This was disclosed by Mr. NVS Reddy, MD of Hyderabad Metro Rail Project.
Hyderabad Metro Rail Corridor III
It may be mentioned that under Hyderabad Metro Rail Corridor III, Metro Rail is being run from Nagole to Hitec City. Very soon, it will be extended to Rai Durgam.
Hyderabad Metro Rail Corridor II
According to the officials of Hyderabad Metro Rail, in December, Corridor II (Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station) to JBS (Imblibun Bus Station) will be started.
It may be mentioned that Hyderabad Metro Rail is running 56 trains in three corridors out of which 45 trains are running in corridor I and III. These trains make 800 trips every day.
Earlier, the frequency of the train was 15 minutes but it has been increased to 5 minutes now. Attempts are being made to run these trains every three minutes in order to save the time of the commuters.
Commuters of Hyderabad Metro Rail
It is expected that the strength of commuters will increase from 5 lakh to 10 lakh. Mr. Reddy further told that Hyderabad Metro Rail is being run on CBTC technology. Through this technology, a train can be run at a frequency of every 90 seconds in the future.
