Hyderabad: ‘Hyderabad mein Urdu ka nisai adab’ a book authored by Dr Amena Tahseen, Associate Professor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University and Director, Centre for Women Studies will be released today by Prof. S A Shukoor, Director Secretary, Telangana State Urdu Academy, at 6:00 pm, at Urdu Hall, Himayat Nagar, Hyderabad. Internationally renowned humour writer, Padma Shree Mujtaba Husain will preside over the function.
Prof. Ashraf Rafi, former head of the Dept. of Urdu Osmania University, Prof. Baig Ehsaas, former head of the dept. of Urdu Osmania University and the University of Hyderabad will be the chief guests. Mr Anees Ahsan Azmi, chief consultant, Centre for Urdu Culture Studies (CUCS), MANUU will be the guest of honour.
Prof. Fatima Parveen, former Vice Principal, Arts College and head of the dept. of Urdu Osmania University and Prof. Naseemuddin Farees Dean, School of Languages, Linguistics & Indology, MANUU and Mrs Qamer Jamali, fiction writer will present the review of the book.
Mr Aslam Farshori will moderate the proceedings.
