Hyderabad: A lady approached SHE teams of Hyderabad City Police stating that she has given an advertisement in the OLX at around 5 pm for selling her product. After half-an-hour, she received a message from another OLX user K Laxmi and asked her about the product and money required. They also exchanged their phone numbers.
Later, the so-called Laxmi revealed her name as Rahul and started harassing her on phone and messages through Whats app by offering money, I-phone 8 and a job in a company as a manager. He called her during odd hours and sent her obscene messages.
Vexed with his harassment, the complainant approached the SHE teams with all the chat history on whats app. After a thorough investigation, the accused was traced and caught by the SHE teams. The accused was identified as TK Thirumala Karthik, 24, student residing at H No 11-2-471/3/A1, Sithaphalmandi, Secunderabad. The accused confessed to his guilt. A case was registered against him and was produced before the Magistrate. (NSS)
