Hyderabad: City Limits are slowly turning dangerous for working women were recently a techie was molested by two unidentified men in an attempt to snatch her bag.
The 23-year old techie from Kolkata was attacked in the heart of the IT corridor, opposite Cyber Gateway around 10 pm on Sunday night when she was walking with her male colleague friend who works with a private company, TOI reports.
Though the men snatched the bag, the techie’s friend punched them hard and snatched it back after which the attackers fled the crime scene.
The complaint was filed the next day on Monday morning. The police verified CCTV footage from the area and registered a case of theft and causing hurt under Sections 356 and 382 of IPC.
However, the CCTV footage did not show any molestation evidence.
“This is a case of attempt to theft. The girl has scratch injuries as well. The offenders will be caught at the earliest,’’ said investigating officer, Khadar Hussain Shaik.
