Hyderabad Liberation day celebrations

The 65th anniversary of the historic liberation of the erstwhile Hyderabad State from Nizam’s dominion will be celebrated across the Telangana region, including State capital, by various organisations and political parties tomorrow, coinciding with the monsoon assembly sessions. The erstwhile Hyderabad State which included parts of Maharashtra and Karnataka was freed from the rule of Nizam on September 17, 1948. All the major parties will celebrate the event in their respective party offices either as ‘ Telangana liberation day or Hyderabad Liberation Day. Meanwhile, the BJP, which demanded the State government to declare Telangana Liberations day officially, will take out a rally from Babu Jagjeevan Ram statue located Basheerbagh to Sardar Patel Statue near assembly tomorrow morning. On the occasion Telangana liberation day, BJP MLA’s, including state BJP president G Kishan Reddy, will march to Assembly with National flag from Amaraveerula Stupam located at Gun park near Assembly while the main opposition Telangana Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu will hoist the national flag in the morning at its party office on the eve of Telangana Liberation day. The district units of some the parties would hoist Telangana flag and the Tri-colour to mark the event. According to Telangana Swatantra Senani Samithi(TRS), it would observe the Hyderabad Liberation Day and its merger with the Indian Union across Telangana region. On the occasion of Telangana Armed Struggle 65th anniversary CPI-CPM are jointly organizing a meeting and hoist the national flag. CPI-CPM State Secretaries Narayana and Raghavulu respectively will participate and address the meeting. Andhra pradesh Congress committee (APCC) will also celebrate the merger of Hyderabad State into the Indian Union at Bandhi Bhavan, party office said. PCC President Botcha Satyanarayana will host the National flag and the Deputy Chief Minister Damodhar Raja Narasimha will be present on the occasion. UNI
