Gulbarga, February 27: Members of the Hyderabad Karnataka Horata Samithi today burnt an effigy of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram here for rejecting the demand for special economic powers under Article 371 of the Constitution for the development of the backward Hyderabad-Karnataka region.
The activists of the outfit, which has been spearheading the movement seeking amendment to Article 371 of the Constitution, raised slogans against the Government. The protesters declared that they would continue their agitation to press their demand.
