Hyderabad: It seems that educational institutions are also not safe for women. Despite stringent laws and Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, women are becoming victims of sexual harassment.
In one such incident, a lecturer alleged that the college dean has been sexually harassing her.
According to the report published in The Hans India, this incident took place in a college located in Tarnaka.
Vexed up with the harassment, lecturer and students unions staged a protest in front of the college. They demanded action against the dean.
As per the victim’s statement, the dean was harassing her in order to satisfy his sexual desire.
The lecturer along with the other staff members and student unions approached the police station and lodged a complaint.
Police registered a case and started investigation.
