Hyderabad: Intermediate students attacked principal, thrown stones at cops, booked

Hyderabad: A Group of Intermediate second year students were stopped not to go outside the hostel as the exam was on next day. They allegedly started violation.

According to Indian Express, students set fire to the college furniture, spoiled the bus and thrown stones on police.25 students were leaving the college around 10.15 pm on Saturday. The incident took place at a corporate junior college, within Bachupally police limits.

College principal and the home guard from the Bachupally police station suffered injuries that were allegedly attacked by the students.

The students were arguing with the watchman to which college principal noticed them and interfered in the matter. The argument raised and they assaulted the principal.

The group spoiled the college fans, breakdown the windows and ruin the water filter which is in the kitchen

They throw stones on the staffs who were trying to handle the violation created by the students and later Bachupally police was informed.

When the students heard the police siren, they switched off the main power supply, burnt blankets and showered stones on police.

Balakrishna Reddy, Bachupally police inspector said, An RTC bus which was going to Miyapur which carried 16 persons, including driver, were in the bus were attacked by the students by throwing stones on the bus.

A Home guard, who was injured on the head, was rushed to the hospital.

Reddy said, “All the students involved in the rioting have been identified. As they had an exam on Sunday, they were allowed to write it. Students’ parents will be called and they will be produced before the JJ Board. Cases have been booked under Sections 324, 147, 149 of IPC and PDPP Act. ”
