Hyderabad hottest day records 39.7 degrees Celsius

Hyderabad: The temperature in Hyderabad is rising day by day more than the last year. Met officials confirmed Thursday to be season’s hottest day of the year with a temperature of 39.7 degrees Celsius, over three-degree above the normal temperature for the month. As per private weather forecasting agencies, the city has been witnessing the temperature surge for the past 10 days.

As per a report by Times of India, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for the next two days in the city. The data from Telangana State Development Planning Society said that the temperature in areas like Qutballapur, Chandulal Baradari, Pashamylaram, Monda Market, Bandlaguda, Musheerabad and Sardarmahal, hit 40 degree Celsius on Thursday.

“The reason for such weather conditions over the city and its adjoining areas can be attributed to the warm south-easterly winds blowing over the region. Also, the absence of changes in weather has resulted in clear and sunny conditions, causing the heat to increase,” said a report issued by Skymet, a private weather forecasting agency.

Other Telangana districts such as Adilabad, Bhadrachalam, Mahabubnagar, Medak and Nizamabad had also witnessed the maximum temperature of 40-degree-Celsius on Thursday.
