Hyderabad: A home guard named Mahinder found Rs 10,000 at an ATM in Jagathgirigutta in the city on Thursday. Mahinder is posted at the Telangana DGP office.
According to New Indian Express when Mahinder went to withdraw cash from a Bank of India ATM booth near his house, in Anjaiah Nagar, he was surprised to find Rs 10,000. He counted the cash and went straight to the police station.
Meeting Inspector Jagathgirigutta K Srinivasulu, Mahinder explained the situation and handed the money.
Police are in the process of finding the account-holder who left the booth without collecting the money. Srinivasulu told that the cash will be handed over to the owner after verifying his identity.
