Hyderabad: Homeless couple’s baby boy kidnapped

Hyderabad: A man allegedly kidnapped an eight-month-old baby boy near Vidyanagar Railway Station early Friday morning, the accused is said to be known to the parents.

An acquaintance of the parents, Srikanth and Miraj took away the baby who goes by the name Eshwar while the parents were sleeping early Friday morning. All three of them were homeless people residing at Vidyanagar railway station and used to beg for a living.

The accused and the parents consumed toddy and went to sleep on the platform of Lalaguda railway station on Thursday night, but on the next day morning at around 6 am, Ghouse took away the baby and boarded an autorickshaw.

The officer said “the CCTV images showed him hiring the autorickshaw at Rathifile near Secunderabad railway station. His whereabouts after that are not known yet. The parents have not received any phone call from Ghouse with any demand.”

A case was booked under relevant sections of the IPC based on a complaint from Eshwar’s mother, Miraj, and an investigation is underway.
