Hyderabad: Home guard denied permission to offer Friday prayer

Hyderabad: An incident of alleged prejudice of police department came to light when a Muslim home guard belonging Goshamahal police station was stopped from offering Friday prayer. According to sources, home guard of traffic police Mohammed Asad who is serving at Gosha Mahal traffic police station sought permission to offer Friday prayer from officers Mahesh and Krishna of the police station but they refused to give permission. Home guard Asad was advised to offer prayer at home.

Home guard Asad strongly reacted against the communal attitude of the officers and said that some people are trying to give communal colour to the obligatory prayer. He said the officers denied permission to offer prayer at Malakunta masjid which is at a short distance from Goshamahal traffic police station.
