Hyderabad to have 11 hassle free junctions in two years

GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar started that the Hyderabad city would have a hassle free flow of traffic on 11 main important junctions in the next two years.

The GHMC, Traffic Police, HMR, HMWS&SB and other various Government departments are coordinating and planning to have a free flow of traffic without any congestions on main important junctions at the Hyderabad city for the convenience of the pedestrians and as well as the citizens of the twin cities.

Somesh Kumar, along with Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Jithender, HMR Managing Director NVS Reddy and other senior officials of the various departments inspected the heavy traffic flow junctions i.e., from Jubilee Hills check post, Mythrivanam, Ameerpet and Punjagutta junctions on Wednesday. In this connection, the Commissioner said that there are six different ways where the roads would meet at Jubilee Hills check post. With a view to ease the traffic congestion, the line departments are planning to construct five multi-level flyover near KBR park without any inconvenience to the citizens who are travelling on these roads.

The Commissioner said that there are encroachments and unauthorized constructions are there for which action has to be initiated and with regard to multilevel flyover construction the global tenders are going to be called in the next two weeks. Apart from this the line departments are planning to take up 10 more flyovers on the same lines, the Commissioner added. The line departments are meeting every Wednesday to sort out the problems of the traffic congestions in the twin cities.

NVS Reddy said that the multilevel flyover which is coming at Jubilee Hills check post will not effect to the works which are going on with regard to Hyderabad Metro Rail. He further stated that the visit of the line departments to these areas to sort out the some of the minor problems which are causing on the ongoing works of HMR on these areas.

Jithender said that the main aim of this coordination visit is to sort out the issues and requested the GHMC Commissioner and also HMR MD to clear the material and other equipments which are posing inconvenience to the citizens and also to ease the traffic congestions in these areas. (INN)
