Hyderabad in grip of Swine Flu, experts ask to take precautions

Hyderabad: Swine Flu scare is continued in Telangana. 65 to 70 people approached Gandhi Hospital with the symptoms Swine Flu, of which 11 were found H1N1 positive. 5 succumbed to the disease. Experts have advised the people to take precautions instead of getting panicky over the situation. H1N1 virus grows in winter and it is contagious. The symptoms include cough, fever, chill, body pain, head ache, fatigue, soar throat, vomiting, runny nose etc. Experts say that there is no need to panic from the disease as swine flu medicines are available and if precautions are taken we can protect ourselves from the disease.

Precautions:
Cover your nose and mouth if you cough or sneeze.
Wash your hands properly with soap or a hand-wash when you come home, or an alcohol-based sanitizer when you are outside.
Take plenty of sleep, a healthy balanced diet and exercise daily.
Ensure intake of plenty of water as it flushes out the toxins from your system and maintains good moisture and mucous production in your sinuses.
Avoid public places, specially crowded areas.
