Hyderabad: KV Nagendra Prasad, COO, Hyderabad International Trade Exposition Limited (HITEX) and current President of Indian Exhibition Industry Association is chosen for the “Bob Dallmeyer Educator of the Year Award” for 2019 by world’s oldest and largest exhibition and events industry association – International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), headquartered in Dallas, USA.
The award will be formally presented to Mr. Nagendra Prasad at “Expo! Expo! – the world’s largest annual meeting & exhibition for the exhibition & events industry”, to be held from 3rd to 5th December 2019 in Las Vegas, NV, USA.
Expo! Expo is AEE’s Annual Meeting & Exhibition is the “show for shows.” The world Exhibition and events industry professionals attend this premier show to learn about the latest industry trends and technology, as well as network with like-minded professionals.
In the announcement made today, Mr. David DuBois, President & CEO, IAEE, said “Your dedication to establishing and promoting IAEE’s CEM(Certified in Exhibition Management) Learning Program® in India is an inspiration to our worldwide membership and serves as a shining example to our industry, as do your contributions to the formation of the IAEE India Chapter and your ongoing work in growing the IAEE Women’s Leadership Forum in the region”.
The 2019 IAEE awardees were selected after careful consideration and review by the IAEE Awards Committee and approved by the IAEE Board of Directors. Mr. Prasad has been at the forefront of the educative initiative taken by the Indian Exhibition Industry Association for knowledge dissemination in the exhibition industry in India. Under his mentorship, the association has successfully run the Certified in Exhibition Management™ (CEM) program for the past five years and has helped several professionals in the exhibition industry in honing their skills and empowering themselves in their said domain.
Commeting upon receiving the news of the award, Mr. Prasad said, “I see this award being given to the Indian exhibition industry for taking initiatives for furthering learning and adopting best global practices which will lead to the development of a strong exhibition industry in India”.
A Mechanical Engineer and a post-graduate in Marketing Management and CEM (Certified in Exhibition Management) faculty from IAEE, USA, Mr. Prasad, flaunts a rich experience in the exhibition domain. He has more than two decades of experience in sales, marketing, business development and commercial operations in real estate, telecom, retail and trade fairs sectors.
Also, donning the hat as President of the Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA), Mr. Prasad participates actively in various national and international industry forums to promote Hyderabad and India as a credible destination for hosting trade fairs and exhibitions, his achievements in attracting prestigious events and trade shows to HITEX and Hyderabad is highly laudable.
