Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is going to take up a massive fogging and spraying operations on385 Kms nalas to control larva and also at Tourist places, publicgather places informed the Commissioner, GHMC Lokesh Kumar on Saturday.
Commissioner, held a review meeting with the entomology wing and said that when compared to last month, the number of Dengu cases drastically fallen and apart from 150 fogging machines another 150 were added.
The Commissioner, instructed the entomology wing to take up fogging at all slums and at mosquito breeding vulnerable points on a massive scale.
Further, the Commissioner, said more focus should be made on 385 kms all nalas and to cover high risk and at vulnerable points. Steps being taken to increase staff in entomology wing by taking surplus staff from other sections.
Vehicles fitted with fogging machines should at least cover 9000 Kms every week altogether. Commissioner instructed to strictly maintain schedule records, like at which area, on what date.
