Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipality Corporation (GHMC) closed 15 pubs which are located in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
According to the report published in The Hindu, this decision was taken due to pubs’ various violations including, unauthorized structure, lack of parking etc.
As per the details furnished by Mr. Musharraf Ali Faruqui, Khairatabad Zonal Commissioner, these establishments are Hard Cup Cafe, United Kitchens of India, Prost Brewpub, Chemistry, Celebrations, Karma and others.
Mr. Faruqui told that the concerned authorities were receiving many complaints related to parking. The parking was creating a traffic issue.
He further told that the owners were running pubs on the provisional license which has a validity of three months. In the past two months, three notices were sent to the establishment, Mr. Faruqui added.
