Hyderabad, April 14: An IPS officer of 2001 batch, Vineet Brijlal has been posted as the new deputy commissioner of police, South zone while Ch Srikanth will be the new DCP of North zone in Hyderabad city.
Similarly, Manish Kumar Sinha, on his return from mid-career training programme, has been posted as DCP (Law and Order), Madhapur in Cyberabad area. The orders were issued on Wednesday.
The Hyderabad city police has been facing a severe shortage of manpower for the last few months.
In fact, a DIG rank officer, N Madhusudhan Reddy was in-charge of south zone for last 4 months.
Though the government had issued orders posting Srikanth as DCP, south zone earlier, the same was cancelled and he was posted to North zone.
Srikanth was previously working as SP Kurnool and had been attached to city police for the last one month.
Similarly, Brijlal, who belongs to Himachal Pradesh, was working as SP, Visakhapatnam while Manish Kumar Sinha, before proceeding for the mid-career programme, was working as SP Anantapur.
