Hyderabad gets first AC bus shelter, with WiFi and baby feeding room

Hyderabad: For the first time in the state of Telangana, an air-conditioned bus shelter was inaugurated by Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development K T Rama Rao at HITEC City’s Shilparamam in Hyderabad. It is also the first shelter to have modern facilities such as; kiosk, coffee and cool drink vending machines, small food courts, ATMs, separate toilets for ladies and gents.

In a tweet, KTR shared a few pictures of the bus shelter and wrote: “Inaugurated a grade A bus shelter at Shilparamam in Hyderabad developed in PPP mode. Amenities include; AC, WiFi, Coffee machines, Cold Beverages, Mobile charging points & Baby feeding/changing rooms. Total of 826 bus shelters to be developed in PPP mode.”

The News Minute quoted a statement of ministry as saying that the bus shelter comes with an exclusive baby feeding room and this facility is not just restricted only to the passengers but is meant for all mothers who pass by the area.

Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, City Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, and Commissioner of GHMC Dr B Janardhan Reddy were also present at the time of inauguration on Tuesay.
