Hyderabad to get daily water supply by year end: KTR

Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board and GHMC sanctioned Rs.1,400 crore and Rs.1,000 respectively.

Hyderabad: The Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said the state will receive daily water supply in all areas of the city by this year end, provided good rains this monsoon.

As per the commitment the State Government is focusing on improving the infrastructure and basic amenities in the city, conserving and improving water bodies and parks.

“Rs.1,400 crore and Rs.1,000 crore sanctioned to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board and GHMC respectively. Additionally Rs.4000 crore worth works would be taken up out of budget,” Mr. Rao said on Thursday while launching a new water storage reservoir at Nallagandla.
