Hyderabad: Former cricketer Azharuddin to get Sadbhavana award at the foot of Charminar

Hyderabad: Former Captain of Indian cricket team, Mohammed Azharuddin will be presented Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana award in a public meeting to be held today, at the foot of Charminar. 27 years ago when the country was facing turmoil, Rajiv Gandhi had begun Sadbhavana Yatra from the foot of historical Charminar in the city of Hyderabad by unfurling the party flag.

Continuing the trading the Congress party organises Sadbhavana Divas every year and presents awards to the persons rendering remarkable services in various fields of life.

A public meeting is being organised on 19 October 2017, at 10 am at the foot of Charminar, where in charge Telangana Congress affairs, RC Kuntaiah and President Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Uttar Kumar Reddy will attend as chief guests.

Besides Former Captain of Indian cricket team, Mohammed Azharuddin, retd, IAS officer Gopal Krishna will be presented Sadbhavana award.
