Hyderabad: A woman tutor who ran away with her student was traced by the police on Friday. The incident of eloping came to light when girl’s father lodged missing complaint with Kamatipura police station. Police launched a probe following the complaint.
According to sources 20-year-old, Samreen Jahan was a teacher at a private school in old city. Her father Mohammed Ghouse, R/O Fateh Darwaza, who is a government employee lodged a missing complaint on January 22. He informed the police that Samreen Jahan left the house at 12:30 pm on January 18 without informing anyone. After his search for the daughter turned futile, he lodged a complaint with the police. He pointed the needle of suspicion towards 17-year-old, intermediate student from Chandulal Baradari whom Samreen used to teach.
Taking clue with the WhatsApp messages exchanged between Samreen and her sister, the police traced them in Delhi. Police succeeded to convince the duo to return to Hyderabad.
