Hyderabad: A grade-I officer in the Reserve Bank of India Hyderabad office, reportedly committed suicide in her flat at NABARD quarters in the wee hours of Friday. Her husband Nitin Jain is an assistant manager in the Hyderabad branch of NABARD. The couple moved Hyderabad on transfer from Kolkata only two months ago.
As reported by the Bangalore Mirror, Police suspect that Swetha Jain (32) committed suicide owing to marital dispute.
Nitin and Swetha had a row on Thursday night, said SR Nagar Police Inspector Rajender Goud, who is investigating the case. Following the fight Swetha went into the bedroom and bolted it from inside. Nitin knocked the door for some time asking her to open the door but received no response from inside. Subsequently he opened the window and saw her hanging from the ceiling.
A case of death under suspicious circumstances has been registered. Investigations are underway.
