Hyderabad: Failing to meet MLA, man tries to immolate himself at Darussalam

Hyderabad: Panic prevailed in the MIM headquarters at Darussalam when a person belonging to Chandrayangutta area made an attempt to immolate himself by pouring kerosene.

According to the details, Sultan bin Sayeed, a resident of Millat Nagar, Ismail Nagar of Chandrayangutta was facing a dispute of 200 sq. yard land located in his locality.

It is reported that the land is not registered. The sale agreement was executed by a notary. The local residents were harassing Sultan to dislodge him from the said land. Sultan approached Chandrayangutta Police Station and registered a case but he could not get justice there.

In the morning of 11th September, Sultan went to MIM headquarters, Darussalam. He made an attempt to meet Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLA of Chandrayangutta but failed. After failing in his attempt, Sultan tried to immolate himself. The party workers present there, immediately foiled his attempt.

Habeebnagar police was informed. He was shifted to Habeebngar police station. Mr. Madhu Gowd Swamy, Inspector of Police inquired the details.

Later, Sultan was allowed to go home after counseling.
