Hyderabad: Huge crater was formed in Shapurnagar as recently laid BT road caved in. This incident took place on Friday morning.
According to the report published in New Indian Express, at least three roads had caved in during the past five months.
It may be mentioned that such incidents are taking place despite warning from Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD), Mr. K.T. Rama Rao. He asked officials to monitor the quality of the material used during the process of laying the road.
After the incident which took place on Friday morning, traffic was diverted. Later, the officials of the Water Board and Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd were informed about the incident.
Experts found that the incident took place due to water leakage. Below the incident spot, two water pipelines were running. Water leakage due to damage in the pipeline had reportedly caused the incident.
