IS THE CELEBRATION OF THE FALL OF HYDERABAD STATE JUSTIFIED ?
Now, BJP is once again trying to make ‘17th September’ as an issue. Now the debating
point is whether 17thSeptember is a-‘Liberation Day ‘, a ‘Merger Day ‘,
or a ‘Betrayal Day ‘?
As per the history, none of the above is correct. It clearly shows that such of those who
have coined those terms, have done it in Telugu, as they are fond of letter ‘V’ or may have a
poetic bent of using rhymes in naming the programmes, without knowing the history of Telangana,
more so the Deccan history. They hardily made any attempt to study the history. It’s disgraceful
to confuse and play with the emotional sentiments of the people?
This is the conspiracy of the Brahmanical Forces:
a) The most unfortunate thing is that, BJP, CPM, CPI, etc., gave a call to celebrate as ‘Liberation
Day ‘ for their political milage. Of which, T-Jac has changed its stand as naming
17th September as ‘Merger Day ‘. But, that’s another mess.
b) Worst than that is, when BJP was in power Maharastra Govt., had declared 17th September
as a Liberation Day of Martwada districts, and started cebrating it officially, later on fallowed
by the Congress. Nevertheless, Congress fallowed the foot-steps of BJP, in Karnataka.
What’s the difference between BJP and Congress.
c) Most worst than that is, BJP Govt., had included the distorted history in the school text-
books, to poison the young minds. How can we build the Nation with this partisan approach.
In Telangana, since last 5 years, we (i.e., Dr.Chiranjeevi Kolluri, Capt.Panduranga Reddy, Abdur
Rahim Qureshi, Tadakamalla Vivek, K.Jithendra Babu, K.M.Arifuddin, Prof.Venkatrajam, Ziauddin
Nayyar, Prof.Surepally Sujatha, K.N.Ramdas, Dr.Kadire Krishna, & others), with the support of ‘1969
Telangana Movement Founders Forum’, ‘Voice of Telangana’,‘Tameer-e-Millat’, ‘Tengana
History Congress’, ‘Telangana History Society’, and other secular Telangana organisations,
started reconstructing the 1947-52 Deccan history, which was completely distorted with ulterior
motives, such as political milage and false freedom fighters pension benifits. This year when sum
of we have toured in Maharastra districts, i.e., Aurangabad, Parbeni, Nanaded we have recieved
an enormous response from the people and the media, including Marati regional media.
Due to the pressure of BJP, CPM and CPI, even TRS and Cogress were about to yield in 2013
and were planning the ‘flag hustings’ at village level. But, our efforts have become fruitful in
convincing the Telangana protagonists and exposing the partisan stand of the political parties.
Ultimately, the TRS had decided to keep mum, which ofcourse is a good development, for Telangana,
because subsequently TRS had formed the Govenament.
But, T-Jac is still playing the tune of ‘Merger Day’, which is also not corect!.

The first person to sacrice his post for Telangana :
It was the Nizam VII who had announced on 24th Nov. 1949 itself that Hyderabad state would
adopt the Indian Constitution, that was in drafting stage, by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as its chairman.
The Nizam had kept his word on 26th Jan1950. Till that date Nizam Rule had continued. On
26th Jan 1950, the Nizam was appointed as the Raj-pramukh, and continued till 31st Oct. 1956.
On 31 October 1956, Hyderabad state had disappeared from the map, as it was
mischievously trifurcated, and merged with the neighbouring states. It ofcourse had compelled
the Governament and the Raj-pramukh, to resign.
But, on 1st November 1956, though Jawaharlal Nehru wanted H.E.H. the Nizam to continue
as the Governor of newly formed state, i.e., Andhra Pradesh, the Nizam simply declined the offer,
as he was not happy the way his state was trifurcated and Telangana was forcibly merged with
Andhra state, against the recomendations of Justice Fazal Ali commission. He had never accepted
any obligations what so ever, from the Governament of India.
In the History of Hyderabad nothing happend on 17th Sept, exept the Nizam making a statement ….
The history of Hyderabad Domain doesn’t acknowledge any of the afore said.
However the fallowing mischievous things had taken place!
1. Vallabhai Patel, who had sent the Army to Hyderbad for annexation, under the pretext of
‘Police Action’, had instructed K.M.Munshi to go to King Koti, with a pre drafted mischievous
statement and escort the Nizam VII, to the Deccan Radio-station, to read it out. Except that
there is no significance at all of 17th September.
2. 17th September cannot be even called a ‘Merger Day’ nor an ‘Annexation Day’, because
the ‘Indian Union’ had clearly declared that the Hyderabad state was merged into Indian
Union only on 26th Jan. 1950. Till then the Nizam State was ruled by way of Farmans (G.O.)
issued by HEH the Nizam VII.
3. Infact the History goes as fallows:
a) on 12 Sept. 1948,Vallabhai Patel had ordered the Army to merge Hyderabad state
with Indian Union by annexation, by violating the ‘Standstill Agreement’ .and called it
‘Police Action’.
b) on 13 Sept. 1948, army marched from all 4 direction into Hyderabad domine.
c) on 17 Sept. 1948, army entered into Zaheerabad,Bhongir, and other places .
d) on 18 Sept. 1948, entered into the Hyderabad with out any resistant.
5. Infact, it was on 18th Sept. 1948, the Indian Union army had entered Hyderabd city, without
any resistance what so ever, and a Military Rule was established in Hyderab Domain..
6. Even the Supreme Court had issued a judgement on 24th Dec. 1949, in the case of Mr.
Narsimha Reddy, clarifying that the Hyderbad province does not come into its purview.
7. On 1st Dec. 1949, M.K.Vellodi, I.C.S. was appointed as the chief Minister of Hyderabad state
(not elected), and continued till Burugula Ramakrishna Rao was elected as Chief Minister,
i.e., on 5th March 1952.
8. The Nizam had kept his word on 26th Jan 1950, by introducing the Indian Constitution in
Hyderabad state. Till that date Nizam Rule had continued.
8. On 26th Jan. 1950, Hyderabad state had become a new state of the Republic of India. The
Nizam VII was declared as H.E. Raj Pramukh of Hyderabad state by the Indian Govt.
9. Hence, 17th September doesn’t have any significance, what so ever. Instead, it was a
‘Betrayal Day’, or it can be called as ‘Day of Tragedy’.
What happened subsequent to 18th Sept. 1948 ?
i. 1948-52 more than 4000 Communists were killed by Millatary & Para-millatary forces.
ii. More than 10,000 Communists were confined in army concentration camps and tortured.
iii. Against Indian army, an agreement was struck between Communists and Razakars in 1947.
Is it not disgraceful on the part of CPI and CPM, who had heavy casualties and miserably
crushed by the Indian Army & Para-millatary forces, comencing from 18th September 1948.
iv. According to Pt. Sunderlal Committee report, appointed by Nehru succeeding the so
called Police Action, more than 50,000 Muslims were brutally massacred. Their houses
were ransacked, their properties were looted, and women were raped, mainly in
Maratwada & Karnataka, Osmanabad, Lathoor and as well in Gulbarga, Raichur districts,
fallowing 18th Sept. 1948. So far that REPORT is not published by the Govt.
literally pushed the Muslims into a shell.
Telangana people knew that, the Muslims haven’t been in the forefront, in the socio-
political struggles in the recent past, including Telangana movement. But, now its good to
note that the Muslim community of Telangana is slowly coming out of their shell.
v. Surprisingly, the communists who had suffered heavy losses and lost lives of thousands of
their cadre and thousands of their families, are now dancing to the tunes of BJP. Is it not
a shameful and ridiculous act ?
vi. The same is being carried on by the Congress Party and the Telugu Desam Party, by playing
to the tunes of BJP. TDP has already struck an alliance with BJP, in 2014 elections.
The Nizam’s apprehensions were proved correct !
outsiders’ invasions, by way of introducing various rules, such as ‘Mulki Rules’. The Nizams
also introduced ‘Vathandari System’, to check the Deshmukhs, who were created by
Shivaji and the Peshwas of Maratwada.
The loses Telangana had incurred since September 1948 !
I. On 18th Sept. 1948, Hyderabad state has gone into Military control, though the Nizam
continued as the head of the state. No democratic rule was established in Hyderabad.
II. K.M.Vellodi, an I.C.S. officer from Madras cadre was sent to Hyderabad and imposed as the
chief Minister of Hyderabad state on 26th Jan. 1950, in the most undemocratic manner.
Burugula Ramakrishna Rao’s Govt.
and Andhras, bringing in language issue, and recruited 20,000 employees, refusing the jobs
to Urdu medium students of Telangana. The result was ‘NON-MULKIES GO BACK
MOVEMENT’ of 1952-53. Vellodi had opened the doors to non-mulkies much before the
merger of Telangana with Andhra,i.e.,on 1st Nov. 1956.
III. The whole problem for the people of Telangana or Hyderabad state was initiated
by Bala Gangadhar Tilak followers, like, Swami Ramanada Theertha, P.V.Narasimha
Rao, Hayagrivachary, etc.,of Congress, supported by the R.S.S. and the Arya-samajics,
the arc-rivals of the Nizam, for communal reasons, which had subsequently given
birth to Razakars (valenteers).
India Congress, joined hands with Seemandhra Congress leaders, hatched the
conspiracy and ultimately succeeded in forcibly merging Telangana with Andhra state,
against the recommendations of ‘Justice Fazal Ali Commission’, only to convert
Telangana into a colony of Seemandhras. That means Hyderbad state had become
a state first from an independent Country, and then a region, finally ending up

minority, even politically. Taking it as an advantage, Seemandra leaders of all political parties in
Andhra Pradesh, have successfully developed ‘Chamchas’ in all the parties in Telangana. That’s
how, ‘Chamcha Age’ had began in Telangana.Today, one will find only ‘Chamchas’ in Telangana,
irrespective of the political parties.
B.J.P. Vallabhai Patel’s huge cut-out ?
Modi who visited Hyderabad to kick off election of 2014, on 11th Aug. 2013, BJP had forgotten Deendayal
Upadhyay, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K.Advani. Instead, the BJP has decorated its meeting ground with
the huge cut-out of the borrowed congress leader sardar Vallabhai Patel, only to highlight the so called
‘Police Action’ and pave a foundation to communal tension, in Telangana. It is nothing but, only to flare he
healing wounds of Muslims.
Distortion of Hyderabad History ……
It is unethical and a crime to distort the History. They will only be playing into hands of conspirators. The
funniest thing is that, “the Seemandhra rulers (kings) were ‘people lovers’, including ‘Sreekrishna Devaraya’.
But, Telangana rulers (kings), particularly, the ‘NIZAMs’, were ‘anti-people’, ‘dictators’, and ‘autocrats’.
Hence, we seriously condemn this wrong notion, as it will not only be hurting the sentiments of our
Muslim brothers, but, also effect the communal harmony of Telangana and disturb the peace in
Telangana State in the coming years too.
Luckily, there has been a tremendous response from the peace loving Telanga people for the last four,
five years, when we decided to take this issue to the logical end, by not celebrating 17th September as
a – ‘Liberation Dayor a ‘Merger Day.
Since beginning, i.e., from last thousand years or atleast four-six hundred years (Qutubshahis
and Asafjahis period), the rulers and the people of Deccan have been secular and maintained the
communal harmony. Hence, Telangana will carry its past traditional communal harmony, established by
the Shatavahanas, the Kakatiyas, the Bahamanis, the Qutubshahis and the Nizams.
The Caste and the Castism is a curse to India. But, the Cast-conflicts were not that sharp in
Deccan (Hyderabad state), as it was in North India, or in Costal-Andhra, or in Rayala-seema, etc. Qutubshahis and
Asafjahis rule was also responsible for this. Especially, Asafjahis, particularly, the VI Nizam and VII Nizam
could impose atleast a partial check on Brahmanism, because of which the ‘Brahmanical Forces’ (BJP,
Congress, Communist Parties, TDP, etc.) bitterly oppose the Nizam VII. It is a fact, the Communal tensions
that have developed in Hyderabad, were instigated by Seemandhra politicians.
That’s the reason you find a ‘Karamchedu’, a ‘Tsunduru’, or a ‘Kadirikuppam’, etc. in Andhra, but,
not in Telangana. Whether one accepts it or not, definitely the credit goes to the rulers of Deccan,
particularly to the Nizam VI & VII. This is the historical truth, and responsible for ‘Communal Harmony’, and
the ‘Social Harmony’, prevalent in ‘Hyderabad State’ as a whole, and ‘Telangana’, in particular.
I. Central Govt should take the initiation to immediately stop 17th Sept.Govt. programe
in Maharastra & Karnataka. Otherwise we will be compelled to go to court.
II. Even historical distortion written in the school books of Maratwada region should
also be removed. Otherwise we will be compelled to go to court.
III. In Telangana, Maharastra & Karnataka Holiday should be declared on the Birth
anniversary (jayanthi) of VI & VII Nizam.
IV. We also demand the Central Govt. to make it public Pt. Sundarlal’s Report immediately
