Hyderabad: Sensation prevailed near Puranapul area of old city on Thursday after the public spotted a crocodile on the bed of Musi river. Many curious onlookers gathered at Puranapul resulting in causing traffic disruptions.
The curious on lookers gathered and later the local police reached spot. Teams from forest department were pressed into service.For the past two days, Hyderabad has been witnessing heavy rains.

Authorities believe that crocodiles were washed away in floodwaters from the Himayat Sagar and strayed in Musi river.
The rescue teams from Forest department reached the river bank and found fully grown crocodile, efforts are underway to shift the reptile to Nehru Zoological park
