Hyderabad, December 07:A city court on Wednesday directed the police to take action against the film The Dirty Picture and register cases against the actress Vidya Balan and producer Ekta Kapoor.
The orders were issued after an advocate Azad filed a petition in the Nampally Criminal Court stating that The Dirty Picture had many objectionable scenes and therefore, he sought action against Bollywood actress Vidya Balan. Admitting the petition, the court directed the Nallakunta Police Station to register a case. In his petition, Azad stated that the obscene scenes in the movie would spoil the tender minds and their career.
Stating the objectionable scenes on posters and wall papers would divert the attention of viewers, he sought direction from the court to remove them.
Vidya Balan played lead role in the movie made on the life of south Indian cine star Silk Smitha.
However, Nallakunta inspector M Suman Kumar told INN that a case would be registered after receipt of court’s order.
