Hyderabad: Congress kick-starts bus yatra

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad’s Congress party on Monday began its ‘praja chaitanya bus yatra’, which is meant to educate the masses about the ruling party’s misdeeds.

The Congress party also demanded fulfillment of all bifurcation promises, including Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

The rally began from the famous Nampally Dargah and stopped in places like Langerhouse and Moinabad to receive blessings.

“We want to show people all that we can do for their welfare. We wish to convey that our party can do a lot for them and fulfill what they are expecting. This yatra which is being conducted is on a positive note, former MP, Mohammed Azharuddin told ANI.

“We are also looking for a good response and people are supporting us. This yatra would be for 45 days…,” Azharuddin added.

Meanwhile, another former MLA Danam Nagender said, “This yatra will cover all the districts of Telangana. Through this, we will bring awareness among people of the state and heritage.

“When the Congress ruled the people had easy access to the government whereas now the government does not consider the state issues important,” Nagender noted.

Former MP V Hanumantha Rao said, “K. Chandrashekhar Rao did not fulfill promises in four years and is still misleading people. This government has not fulfilled any of its promises that is why people are angry. The Central government has put poor people’s money in the bank. KCR has put big posters claiming it as the number one state but it is number one in corruption also”.

He added that the KCR-led government will get a befitting reply from people in the time to come. (ANI)
