Hyderabad: City youth murdered in UK, one suspect held

Hyderabad: A youth from Hyderabad was stabbed to death in London’s Supermarket where he works on 8th May.

According to the TOI reports, the victim, Mohammed Nadeemuddin was living in London for the past six years.

On Wednesday, he was heading towards Tesco Supermarket at Slough Berkshire, where he was a manager. Around 12:30 pm (local time) he was allegedly stabbed in the cellar of parking by an Asian origin person. He was rushed to hospital but was declared dead.

A day after the murder of Nadeem, Thames Valley police said one person had been arrested in the case.

“We were called to the underground car park of Tesco in Wellington Street at 12.32 pm today (May 8) after a report that a man had been stabbed. Sadly, he died and a murder investigation has been launched,” police said in a statement.

“A 26-year-old man from Slough was arrested by crime officers in Birmingham last night (May 9) on suspicion of murder. He remains in our custody,” police added.

Nadeem married to Afsha, a doctor by profession last year and she had joined him in London. Afsha, who is pregnant, is in shock and unable to accept her husband’s murder. She is undergoing psychological counselling, said Farheern Qureshi, a family friend of the victim.

Qureshi was asked if they suspect anyone, she said, “Nadeem was not the one to get into trouble with anyone. He was a calm person, I am shocked that he is no more.”
