The Meeting of the Conference of Parties (CoP 11) on the Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD) is being held during 1st to 19th October, 2012 which is major event and will be attended by about 10000 member delegates from 193 countries.
In view the CoP 11, the HMDA has taken up the refurbishment / beautification and development of various parks in BPP area etc., which are high, focused areas and will attract a large number of visitors visiting to Hyderabad. All the works taken up are put up on HMDA Website www.hmda.gov.in
LUMBINI PARK : Painting and flooring works, at the entrance, sign boards, additional l benches, Rubber Flooring in children’s play area, improvement of illumination and landscape works.
LASERIUM : Painting, view cutters around the compound wall , improvement of illumination, new Laser equipment and themes & landscape works. Arrangement of Laser Show during CoP-11.
NTR GARDENS & MEMORIAL : Painting and Flooring with design tiles at entrance and to the existing pathways , construction of planters wall, fixing of glasses to pyramids, Proving granite and Cast Iron benches , improvement to fountains & waterfalls, improvement of illumination in the entire park, & landscape works. painting to entrance gate, kerb & railing, Light fixtures around the NTR Samadhi.
NECKLACE ROAD : Painting & strengthening the grills along the shoreline, erection of new dustbins, Repairs to damaged BT Road, providing pavement from Buddha Bhavan to Sanjeevaiah Park along the shoreline, and installation of decorative lantern at Zebra crossings & landscape works. Murals on Necklace road walls.

SANJEEVAIAH PARK : Development of Landscape opposite Sanjeevaiah Park, installing of Pots and Ornamental Plants to Sanjeevaiah Park and Central Nursery. Laying of Boda Grass for the hut at Sanjeevaiah Park ; Installation of Pop Ups at Sanjeevaiah Park.
A.P. SECRETARIAT : Development of Landscape Garden at Media Lounge in A.P. Secretariat
In addition to the BPP works, the following permanent improvement works are also been taken up in the following areas.
KBR WALKWAY: Providing Benches, painting to railing, signboards, dustbins, repairs to fountains, pathways, kerb’s & landscape works.
HITECHCITY FLYOVER : Providing MS Grill for the landscape area, painting works & landscape works.
PV EXPRESSWAY : Providing markers /cat eyes on median & crash barrier. Median Greenery below PVNR Expressway, Median Greenery on NH leading to Airport, Improvement in Shamshabad Trumpet.
OUTER RING ROAD: Refurbishment of Median Greenery from Shamshabad to ORR Junction, Median Greenery on ORR from Shamshabad Interchange to Gachibowli, Median Greenery below PVNR Expressway, Improvement of Greenery at ORR Interchanges at Narsingi, Nanakramguda, APPA and Rajendranagar areas.
