Hyderabad : As Earlier Cyberabad police informed the citizens of the city for Chaddi Gang, a group of burglars who commit crime in their inner wear, as they spotted again in the city, this time in Meerpet area in the city on Wednesday.
A watchman has told police that he saw the gang members at around 12.45am, with CCTV footage also confirming the involvement of men wearing only inners in the burglary.
A gang of more than eight persons, according to the police, broke into a flat in Blooming Dale Apartment in Agricultural Colony in Meerpet and decamped with gold and silver ornaments weighing 10 tolas. The owner of the flat is reported to be an IT professional who is presently residing in the United States, with the gang locking neighbouring flats from outside before breaking into the uninhabited flat. They also locked the watchman in his room before the burglary.

Speaking to Media Meerpet Inspector said that, a gang of more than eight members had gained entry into Flat No 301 and decamped with valuables.
“The owners of the flat went to the US nearly two months ago. Before executing the burglary, the suspects ensured that the neighbouring flats are locked from outside, and entered the apartment by breaking open the main door,” he said, adding that they had locked up the watchman as well in his room.
Though the watchman and CCTV footage have indicated the involvement of the Chaddi Gang, this was yet to be confirmed, the Inspector added.
According to reports, CLUES Team collected fingerprints from the crime scene. The police said that they have launched a manhunt to nab the offenders. The gang first came to the attention of the Hyderabad police in December last year, following burglaries at Miyapur and KBHP.
