Hyderabad: CAW celebrates 87th anniversary of Indian Air Force

Hyderabad:  The Indian Air Force (IAF) would be completing 87 years of glorious service to the nation. From its humble beginnings in October 1932, the IAF has grown to become the fourth largest Air Force in the world and is globally acknowledged as a force to reckon with.

The history of the IAF is replete with examples of valour in all the operations that it has been part of – a shining testimony of which is the recent Balakot operations. The yeoman service rendered by the IAF in providing humanitarian assistance to the people during natural disasters both in India and abroad has only added more feathers to its cap. These achievements both during peacetime and during conflicts in its illustrious past have lent credence to its motto, “Touch the Sky with Glory”.
