Hyderabad: Boxer turned chain snatcher due to financial crisis arrested

Hyderabad: A Central Taskforce team arrested a state-level boxer-turned-chain snatcher for his involvement in six offences in Hyderabad and Rachakonda Commissionerates. In the last 7 months, he has committed 10 offences.

The Police identified the offender as Kona Narsing Rao, 34, a resident of Shivasainagar of Uppuguda. Gold ornaments weighing about 16.5 tolas along with a bike were recovered from the offender.

The DCP, Commissioner’s Task Force, P. Radhakrishna Rao said “Narsing Rao is a trained boxer and took part in many state-level competitions. In 2006, he discontinued his studies due to the financial crisis and worked odd jobs for his family’s livelihood.”
