Hyderabad Book Fair from December 24 to 27

Hyderabad, November 22: The 24th Hyderabad Book Fair will be held here from December 24 to 27 at People’s Plaza on the Necklace Road. Film director A Kondanda Ramireddy released the book fair logo here today.

Speaking to reporters later, he said book-reading habit would help people control emotions and improve knowledge. Book Fair president S Srinivasa Rao said that a walk would be held on December 19. Cine artistes and cleberities would take part in the walk, he said.

The writers who were unable to sell their books would be given an opportunity in the exhibition. They can reserve one stall by paying Rs 100, he said.

Around two lakh book-lovers visited the fair last year. The organisers were expecting around 5 lakh visitors this time. The entry fee for the book fair is Rs 5. Those who want to book the stalls can visit “www.hyderabadbookfair.com’’.

The last date for registration is December 5. Book publishers from Pakistan and Bangaldesh too wil participate. Hyderabad Book Fair secretary R Hanumantha Rao, joint secretary K Sivarama Krishna and treasurer S Raja were present.
