Hyderabad: BJP takes out rally in favour of CAA, NRC

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took out a rally in favour of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC). The rally was taken out in Uppal.

The rally which was led by former BJP MLA NVSS Prabhakar began at Shivaji Statue and ended at Bharatmath Statue.

Is it a communal issue?

Prabhakar alleged that TRS, Congress, CPI and AIMIM are trying to convert CAA and NRC into a communal issue. He claimed that CAA is not against any Indian citizen whereas, NRC will identify persons who are illegal migrants.

Disclosing BJP’s future plan, he said that the party would organize a campaign across Telangana to highlight the importance of CAA and NRC.

Why Hindus must also worry about NRC

On the other hand, protests against CAA and NRC are taking place across the country.

Meanwhile, a few analytics said that Hindus must also worry about NRC as the exercise may convert a person from citizen to illegal immigrant irrespective of religion.

People who are thinking that CAA will provide protection to them must note that in order to claim citizenship under the act, they have to prove that they have migrated from Pakistan or Bangladesh or Afghanistan.
