Hyderabad: BJP demands launch of Metro Rail work in Old City, stages protest

Hyderabad: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) demanded Metro Rail in Old City of Hyderabad. It also launched a protest on Thursday.

According to the news published in TOI, BJP staged a sit-in protest demanding Metro Rail in the Old City of Hyderabad. It also alleged that MIM is responsible for keeping Metro out of Old City.

Talking about the development of this area of Hyderabad, President of State BJP, K. Laxman said that it is only on paper. He also said that the ruling party did not implement Meto Rail Project in the area due to MIM. BJP leaders urged the locals to join the movement for Metro Rail in the area.

BJP further made an announcement that it would intensify protest it Metro Rail project work is not stated in Old City. In the protest, senior BJP leaders G Kishan Reddy, party MLC Ramchandar Rao and others participated.

Citing the example of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Laxman claimed that it will win in the Old City of Hyderabad in the next elections.
