Hyderabad: Heatwave across Telangana state is likely to resume for the next three days with the IMD Hyderabad has issued a heatwave warning starting today until May 18.
The heat wave conditions will likely be scorching again across the state once the ongoing thunderstorm spell comes to an end on Wednesday.
The scorching temperatures will prevail over isolated places in Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Asifabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Rajanna-Sircilla, Siddipet, Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda, among other districts. The maximum temperature is expected to touch 45-46 degrees Celsius.
“Dry winds are blowing from the northwest direction resulting in rise in temperature,” said Naga Ratna, head, Forecasting, IMD, Hyderabad.
While Nizamabad recorded highest temperature of 43.4 degree Celsius on Tuesday, Adilabad (43.3 degree Celsius), Medak and Nalgonda (43.2 degree Celsius) and Ramagundam at 42.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 40.3 degree Celsius yesterday.
