HYDERABAD: Student activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad vandalised property at the Narayana College in Hyderabad’s Narayanaguda.
The incident took place on November 2 on Thursday alleging that Jayasimha Reddy, the dean of the institute of sexually harassing women teachers. Recently, a woman principal of the college reportedly ended her life as a result of the sexual harassment two years ago.

The workers of RSS-affiliated student body began their protest after a 40-minute audio clip went viral on the social media in which a man and a woman are purportedly discussing about the sexual harassment of women staffers on campus.
Agitated over harassment allegations, a group of youngsters raised slogans against the institution and entered the former’s office and reportedly vandalised the college property and also raised ABVP flags.
The dean of the college has denied the allegations of any wrongdoing.
The Narayanaguda police detained six activists and registered a criminal case under sections 452, 427, 506 of the Indian Penal Code. The voices of woman and man heard on the audio tape are yet to be identified.
