Around 413 people were imprisoned to varying periods of jail by Kukatpally, Medchal, Rajendranagar and Shadnagar courts for driving under the influence of alcohol. From 1st August to 31st August as many as 1342 cases of drunk and driving have been booked against the violators in the limits of Cyberabad Commissionerate and were produced before courts.
A total of 413 persons were convicted with imprisonment ranging from 1 day to 20 days besides fine as per law.
Moreover, around 238 cases were booked on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Cyberabad limits in August. Besides, imposing the punishment, the court also slapped fine of Rs 958,351 on the violators.
