Hyderabad: Governments school’s meritorious girl students who have scored 9.3 GPA in SSC 2017 have been awarded with scholarships worth 10k each titled as ‘The Gems of the Nation Award’ by the Hyderabad Zakat and Charitable Trust (HZCT) and Foundation for Economic and Education Development (FEED) on Sunday a statement said.
Nearly 304 meritorious girl students received awards across the state for their score at SSC along with medal and a certificate, TT reported.
The FEED and HZCT had jointly set a budget of Rs 35 Lakhs for award distribution among the students.
R S Praveen Kumar, Secretary, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society, encouraged the students while distributing the scholarships at the event. He has also the urged the parents to support their child to pursue their further studies so they can achieve new goals in their life.
AK Khan Minority Affairs advisor Government of Telangana was also present at the event. He has also assured to provide support to students who are ambitious to crack Civil Services Exams.
