Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police caught 2972 people in their ongoing drunk-driving check across the city in February.
According to the report of Times Of India, in February, the Hyderabad Traffic Police caught 2972 people under the influence of alcohol and all of them had produced in the third and fourth metropolitan magistrate court in Nampally.
The court sentenced jail to 755 persons, while the driving licences of 154 were cancelled for 6 months to 1 year and permanently cancelled for 25 persons.
The court also imposed a fine amount of Rs 64,22,300 on the traffic violators.
In addition three violators were imprisoned for dangerous driving.
