Chief Electoral Officer of both Telangana Anoop Singh today said that 24,20,244 voters names were deleted in the electoral rolls after conducting an electoral survey in 36 Assembly segments in Telangana area including 24 segments in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits.
Addressing a maiden press conference at Secretariat here he said that 55,30,947 were retained and new electors added 5,82,138 at 6.4 per cent in 11219 polling stations of the 36 segments. He disclosed that before the door to door survey conducted the total electorate was 1,09,44,968.
The Election Commission offers an opportunity to the voters to file claims and objections in this Constituencies up to December 31 and final electoral list will be published on January 20, 2018.
Singh said that those voters not available are 29,93,777 (27.35 per cent) in 10,559 polling stations, the net electors after door to door survey was put at 91,06,862.
The voters have missed in the Special Summary Revision in the Constituencies include Musheerabad, Malakpet, Amberpet, Khairthabad, Jubilee Hills, Sanathnagar, Nampally, Karwan, Goshamahal, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, Yakuthpura, Bahadurpura, Secunderabad and Secondarabad Cantonment in Hyderabad district, Malkajgiri, Qutbullapur, Kukatpally and Uppal in medchal and Malkajgiri, LB Nagar, Maheshwaram, Rajendranagar and Serilingampally in Ranga Reddy.
People can file claims and objections in Adilabad, Karimnagar, Sangareddy, Patancheru, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Ghanpur (Station), Parkal, Warangal East and West, Wardhannapet, Khammamd and Palair till December 31, 2017 through Mee Seva/E-Seva Centers and directly to election commission on its official website on www.ceotelangana.nic.in or at the Special counter at Polling booths on December 17 and December 24.
The CEO further appealed to the electorate to provide the information accurately in all the columns of relevant Form 6, 7, 8 and 8A and all such applications can be filed online.
