Hyderabad: Two cars, 11 bikes were seized during the drunk and drive check in Madhapur yesterday on the eve of New Year.
Special drunk driving test was also carried out throughout the city with the Police setting up 20 drunk and drive checkpoints. Several individuals have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, Hans reported.
On the eve of New Year, flyovers were also closed from 11 pm on Tuesday to 5 am on Wednesday.
Previously, the Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh Bhagwat appealed the citizens to stay away from drugs and drinking.
