Hyderabad: 18,000 posts will be filled soon in Police Dept

State DGP M Mahender Reddy has informed that 18,000 posts will be filled very soon in the Police department.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Mahender Reddy said Command and Control Centers, Cyber Crime Centers and Clues Teams will be set up in all the districts like in Hyderabad City. He made it clear that top priority will be given to law and order, people-oriented development and transform all districts to attract investments.

DGP said the policing will be effective to improve the living standards of the people. He said an eight-point formula was prepared to achieve the goal. He also informed that TS Cop App got the award. He said the response was tremendous to ‘Nenu Saitham’ program and Community CCTV Project. He said Mini-Command Control Center was set up in every district and e-challan, cyber crime and social media units will be set up across the State very soon.

Stating that crime rate increased up to 12.93 percent in 2017, the DGP said severe action will be taken against those violating law and order. The police would work to fulfil the needs of the people and the Police department would strive to make the people believe the police. (
