Hyderabad: 16-year-old Inter student beaten into coma by classmates

Hyderabad: A 16-year-old college student is struggling for life in a Hyderabad hospital, the boy was beaten up by three other students and there was no one to rescue him during the fight was going on Friday.

According to the news published in the India Today, the teenager slipped in to the coma due to the fight over a small issue among the students in Hyderabad. Vijay Vardhan, 16-year-old, who is an Intermediate student of Sri Chaitanya Junior College in Amberpet is suffering from a serious head injuries and is been treated in a private hospital.

During the lunch hour in the college campus, Vijay Vardhan and his three classmates had a fight and Vijay received serious injuries in the brawl on Friday, according to the police.

“The three minor students beat up Vijay, who suffered severe head injuries. He was shifted to a hospital, where he is in critical condition,” the Amberpet police inspector AP Anand Kumar said.

The police said, “Doctors detected blood clotting in his head. They have performed a surgery but he is critical.”

The case has been registered by the police under section 307 (attempt to murder) of IPC and relevant provisions of laws dealing with juvenile crime.
